Alzheimer’s Research UK launch ‘The First One’ campaign

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) has launched a campaign entitled ‘The First One’.

The campaign centres on the message that someone alive today could be the first person cured of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s Research UK say:

“A lot can happen in a lifetime. Think about someone born in the 1970s. They’ve seen survival double for people with cancer. HIV has become a controllable long-term condition. And deaths from heart attacks have fallen by nearly 90%. Research made these advances possible. A cure is in sight for people with Alzheimer’s disease.”
