Summary

Doncaster Dementia Collaborative: What’s Happening About Dementia in Doncaster?

This session will showcase the work of the Doncaster Dementia Collaborative and its collective approach to improving the lives of people living with dementia, their families, carers, and the wider community.

Bringing together partners from across health, social care, the voluntary sector, and local communities, the Collaborative is working to develop innovative and practical solutions that support people affected by dementia to live well and remain connected to their communities.

The session will provide an overview of current initiatives, achievements, and future priorities, highlighting the power of partnership working in creating a more dementia-inclusive Doncaster. Attendees will hear about examples of good practice, community engagement, workforce development, and local projects that are making a tangible difference.

As dementia continues to be a key priority both locally and nationally, this presentation offers an opportunity to explore the question many people ask: “What is happening about dementia in Doncaster?” It will demonstrate how organisations and communities are working together to drive meaningful change and share lessons that may be relevant to other areas.
