Kiyana Wraps

Kiyana Wraps explores culturally appropriate, creative interventions for 
dementia care through the art of headwrapping. Centred on African and 
Caribbean traditions yet inclusive of diverse communities, the 
initiative promotes selfhood, confidence, and cultural identity. Through 
symposiums and workshops, it examines how artistic and fashion-based 
practices can enhance wellbeing, engagement, and social inclusion in 
ageing populations, contributing to interdisciplinary discourse between 
creative practice, heritage, and person-centred dementia care.
