When new drug treatments for Alzheimer’s disease were launched last year, professionals feared that all the publicity could create false hopes among carers and relatives. However, this study by Frances Vaughan, Robert Jones and Louise Cunliffe showed that most carers’ expectations were consistent with the clinical information they had been given.
