Speaking up: advocacy for people with dementia

Advocacy can help an older person with dementia to have more control over their life – to exercise choice and represent their own interests. Claire Goodchild describes Westminster Advocacy Service’s two-year pilot project, which was independently evaluated and has produced guidelines for further work in this area.
