Through the past to the person

Relating to a person with dementia who has begun to give up their usual means of communication is a complex and daunting task. In this case study, Faith Ginson, Jo Marley and Helen McVicker show how using information from the past, together with detailed observation of their present behaviour, can help restore contact,reduce agitation and increase well being.
