Summary
Chorlton and Whalley Range Dementia Action Group is a community-led initiative in Manchester that has spent the past six years raising awareness of dementia and supporting more inclusive local neighbourhoods. Through conferences, public meetings, business engagement, and the development of practical resources—including leaflets and the *10 Big Ideas* pamphlet—we have promoted dementia-friendly change. Our workshop will briefly share these experiences and materials before facilitating small group discussions. Participants will exchange ideas, reflect on local action, and create posters to present their insights to the wider conference. The session aims to inspire collaboration and generate new, practical ways to promote dementia awareness in diverse communities.
