Dementia UK launch ‘My life with dementia’ podcast

Dementia UK has launched their ‘My life with dementia’ podcast.

Presented by actor and Dementia UK ambassador Jim Broadbent, the podcast features people with lived experience of dementia sharing their stories from multiple perspectives, alongside practical advice from Admiral Nurses.

Jim Broadbent says of the podcast:

“It is a privilege to present this new podcast and I am delighted to be a part of it. Not only does the series allow audiences to get a glimpse into the lives of the courageous people affected by dementia, but it shows just how wonderful the charity’s Admiral Nurses are in delivering vital support.”

Dr Hilda Hayo, Chief Admiral Nurse and CEO at Dementia UK, says:

“We are so excited to be launching our first ever podcast series, amplifying the voices of those who have been affected by dementia. We know that families are often left to cope with a diagnosis alone, isolated and without the support they need, but we hope the series will allow people to find connection through shared experience.”
