Netflix portrays dementia in ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ series
The Netflix series ‘The Thursday Murder Club’, which is an adaptation of a novel by Richard Osman, has portrayed dementia through its character Stephen.
‘The Thursday Murder Club’ follows residents in a fictional retirement community who investigate cold cases. Stephen, played by Sir Jonathan Pryce, is living with dementia in a storyline shaped by the personal experiences of Richard Osman, whose grandparents had dementia.
