United for All Ages publish paper with intergenerational ideas to create a better world
United for All Ages, a thinktank and social enterprise that brings younger and older people together to build stronger communities, has published a paper entitled ‘Changing the world together – Twenty-six intergenerational ideas for a better world for all ages.’
The paper, which was edited by Stephen Burke and published to support Global Intergenerational Week 2026, includes projects to tackle loneliness, ageism, care, housing, communities and more. The projects showcased are grouped under four themes: homes and communities, care and learning, culture and sport, and today for tomorrow.
Stephen says:
“With the growth in intergenerational action, we asked United for All Ages supporters to nominate projects that have inspired them recently – from the very local to the global. Some nominated their own projects, others nominated projects thousands of miles away. All in fifty words or so.”
Stephen adds:
“One of the purposes behind this paper is not only to share these twenty-six ideas for 2026 but also to encourage others to think about their futures and borrow an idea or two. How do we create a world which thinks and acts for this and future generations? Here are some starting points. Let’s make it happen! And let’s do more to engage policymakers and changemakers at all levels.”
