Playtime in the garden

Playtime in the garden: A new scheme to promote intergenerational interaction is being launched as part of a pioneering partnership between Hallmark Care Homes Foundation and the charity London Play.  Hallmark’s newest care home, Midford Manor in Bath, will host what is hoped will be the first of many “play gardens”, offering spaces in which children and older people can mix socially.  “It will encourage families to come more often and the visit will be a more pleasant and enjoyable one,” said Midford Manor manager Carol Britton. An example of what to expect can be seen in this scene from Hallmark’s Admiral Court home in Essex.
