Adopt a Grandparent have launched a new series of webinars to share the impact they are making and encourage more care homes and volunteers to register with them.
Adopt a Grandparent pair older, socially isolated care home residents (including people with dementia) with volunteers worldwide to combat loneliness and encourage intergenerational relationships. Established as a socially-driven organisation in 2020, the charity now works with care settings and older persons residing across the UK – with almost 100,000 volunteers signed up to ‘adopt’.
