Alzheimer’s Research UK announce six new Clinical Fellowships
Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) has announced six new Clinical Fellowships.
The Fellowships are backed with £2.6million of funding and are part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Clinical Accelerator Programme.
The new Clinical Fellows are:
- Dr Ashwin Venkataraman, Kings College London
- Dr Sabbiha Majumder, University College London
- Dr Rachael Matthews, University of Liverpool
- Dr Dexter Penn, Imperial College London
- Dr Abdulwarrith Olawale, University of Cambridge
- Dr Harry Costello, University College London
Alzheimer’s Research UK say:
“The six newly funded Fellows are tackling a diverse set of challenges that could make a tangible difference to people’s lives.
Their projects span diagnosis, treatment, prevention and trial delivery, all areas that are vital if research is to translate into better outcomes for people affected by dementia.
Together, these researchers will help drive forward new approaches that bring us closer to a future where dementia is accurately diagnosed, effectively treated and ultimately prevented.”
