Dementia UK launch second series of ‘My life with dementia’ podcast
Dementia UK has followed up the first series of their ‘My life with dementia’ podcast (which we covered here: https://journalofdementiacare.co.uk/my-life-with-dementia-podcast) with a second series.
Now hosted by charity ambassador and award-winning journalist and podcaster Marianne Jones (series one was hosted by actor Jim Broadbent), the podcast features personal experiences of dementia. Each story episode is followed up by practical advice from Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses that picks up on the key themes from the stories that have been shared.
Dr Hilda Hayo, Chief Admiral Nurse and CEO at Dementia UK, says:
“We are excited to be launching our second podcast series, shining a light on the stories of people impacted by dementia. We know that too often families with dementia feel isolated and alone, without the support they need. We hope the new series will allow people to find connection through shared experience as well as raise vital awareness of the challenges facing families with dementia today.”
