‘Food Glorious Food’ launch announced
The Association for Dementia Studies (ADS) at the University of Worcester has announced the launch date for their ‘Food Glorious Food’ website and booklets.
The in-person launch event on Thursday 16th July 2026 at the University of Worcester will see the team behind the Food Glorious Food research project share their learning.
The ADS Food Glorious Food team say:
“Community groups that support people with dementia often aim to involve food in what they offer. Food can be at the heart of opportunities to socialise, maintain skills, celebrate culture and reminiscence. It can also help overcome stigma and encourage people to engage with services that might support them. However, there are challenges to working with food.
Our Food Glorious Food project has looked at the benefits and challenges of involving food in community group support in different ways, for different people from different backgrounds and circumstances – whether that’s offering hot meals, bringing food to share or simply offering light refreshments.”
