King’s Birthday Honours List 2026: Recognition for leading figures in dementia care
Dr Hilda Hayo, Chief Admiral Nurse and Chief Executive of Dementia UK, has been awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2026 for services to people affected by dementia.
Hilda is joined on the list by Professor Carol Brayne CBE, who is made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to medicine, medical research and public health. She has been a pioneer in the study of dementia in older people.
