PainChek publish white paper into understanding and managing pain in care homes

PainChek has published its ‘Driving Positive Clinical Outcomes for Care Homes’ white paper.

PainChek uses AI and a smart device camera to assess a person’s face, whilst the person is observed to assess their voice, movement, behaviour, activity, and body. The aim is to detect pain in people even when it is not obvious to improve quality of life for those living with dementia, as well as learning disabilities and mental health conditions.

The white paper includes data on the impact of PainChek across UK care homes, summarises projects that have been taking place and the positive results they have brought social care providers.
