Quality Compliance Systems (QCS) has used the recent Black History Month to share a free resource: ‘The Culturally Appropriate Care Guide’.
The guide is aimed at care providers across England, Scotland and Wales and supports the delivery of person-centred care that respects the cultural identities of people who draw on care and support services.
QCS say:
“Culturally appropriate care is more than awareness—it’s about promoting diversity, respect, and inclusivity. Cultural identity or heritage covers a wide range of aspects, including ethnicity, nationality, and religion, as well as sexuality and gender identity. By implementing these principles, you’ll create a more inclusive, person-centred care environment that meets the needs of diverse service users.”
