Queen of Queens: Maycroft Manor care home got into the spirit of the Brighton Pride Parade as residents and staff dressed up in rainbow colours and waved flags for the occasion. Resident Gill Woods (pictured) was hailed the Queen of all Queens in the celebrations. “I had to keep pinching myself, I thought I was dreaming,” Gill said afterwards. “I felt just like the Queen.”
The Together Project are looking for nominations of care homes in London who could host Songs and Smiles sessions. The sessions would be part-funded by the City Bridge Foundation, and would bring older residents and 0-4 year olds (with their grown-ups) together to share music, play and laughter.
