West Yorkshire Police trialling Tracker Tiles for people with dementia

Tracker Tiles are being trialled by West Yorkshire Police to help locate people living with dementia who go out and become lost or need help.

The trial, involving handing out over 500 free trackers, is being funded by the National Lottery through the Shipley Memories Dementia Support Group. The Group was founded by PCSO Ben Verdeyen in 2022 after he was inspired to work with people living with dementia because of his granddad’s diagnosis.

The Tracker Tiles can be put in pockets or shoes and send signals to a phone app.
