Young Dementia Network share animations to raise awareness of YOD

The Young Dementia Network has created two animations to raise awareness of young onset dementia and specifically the challenges younger people face when living with dementia.

The animations feature the thoughts of people with young onset dementia and their family members gathered via a 3-question questionnaire. They are entitled ‘Share your experiences of young onset dementia’ and each film is structured around a specific question:

The first question asks if people felt young onset dementia had taken anything away from their lives – see responses to this via animation one: https://youtu.be/39UZQPB7dGw?si=19c09njbcrPHnSH-

The second question asks whether receiving a young onset dementia diagnosis had brought the person/their family any comfort – see responses to this via animation two: https://youtu.be/Q1XzKitvEvc?si=ckb5OyDl8zX5K4FA

A third animation centred around a question about the symptoms of young onset dementia will be shared in due course.
