Skills for Care launch new dementia resources
Skills for Care has launched new resources for anyone in the adult social care workforce who is supporting people living with dementia.
The resources include guides, checklists, factsheets and films (including a daughter’s reflections on her mum’s dementia).
Topics covered are:
- Prevention
- Before and after diagnosis
- Support
- Family carers
- End of life
Rachel Yates Hoyles, National Practice Lead at Skills for Care, says:
“Our mission is to ensure that people delivering care and support have the skills they need so that every person affected by dementia can live well and with dignity. These resources provide the tools and knowledge needed to support compassionate, high-quality care at every stage of dementia.”
