Alive Activities launch new intergenerational YouTube channel
Alive Activities has launched ‘Bridging the Gap!’, an intergenerational YouTube channel with films featuring young people in schools and older people living in care.
The channel is designed to be a space for sharing, connecting and learning about the daily life of people from different generations, with the younger participants sharing their learning and experiences of attending school and the older participants sharing their stories and day-to-day life living in care. There are also contributions from staff working in schools and care homes.
The channel is part of Alive Activities intergenerational project
STANd (Strength Together Age Network development) and has so far involved collaborations with Bristol schools and care homes.
You can view the Bridging the Gap YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@BridgingtheGapIG
Alive Activities are looking for more educational or care settings who would like to submit their own film to be uploaded to this channel. Email bridgethegap@aliveactivities.org if you’d like to find out more.
