Play about young onset dementia touring this autumn

Theatre Re’s ‘The Nature of Forgetting’ is coming to London, Jersey, Leicester, Hertford and China this autumn.

The play tells the story of Tom, a middle-aged father who is living with young onset dementia. As he prepares for his 55th birthday party Tom’s memories come flooding back, with the play described as ‘profoundly moving’.

2026 marks the 10th anniversary season of ‘The Nature of Forgetting’ and Theatre Re say of this milestone:

“If there is one takeaway from the past few years of making, touring, refining and breathing new life into The Nature of Forgetting – it’s to remind ourselves to be present, in the moment, and realise life as we live it.”
