DEEP 10th anniversary

DEEP – the UK network of dementia voices – will be “shouting out loud and proud” this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary. There will be an online festival on 5 – 9 December with a wide range of sessions, including a mixture of fun and serious discussions, practical activities and the showcasing of DEEP resources.  “A lot has been learned and achieved over the past 10 years and so throughout this year we want to celebrate and honour all DEEP’s achievements to date around voices, peer support and activism,” said Rachael Litherland, director of Innovations in Dementia.  It is hoped to inspire more people living with dementia to get involved, raise the profile of DEEP and attract media attention to amplify impact, as well as provide encouragement for carers and supporters.
