The Dementia Dog Project, a collaboration between Alzheimer Scotland and Dogs for Good, has a young Labrador looking for a new home in Glasgow with a person who is in the earlier stages of dementia and is living with a full-time, unpaid carer.
The Labrador is specially trained to help people living with dementia, and the Dementia Dog Project say: “Our dogs bring joy and smiles, confidence and self-belief and give practical and emotional support to families affected by dementia.”
