Survey launched to understand hearing and dementia research priorities

The James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) has launched its second survey to gather information on hearing and dementia research priorities.

They are looking for people who are deaf, or have hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis or vestibular disorders, people with memory problems, family carers, health and social care professionals and members of the public to pick their top 10 questions for future research about dementia and hearing conditions.

The results will be combined with those from the first survey (conducted in 2023) and discussed at a final workshop (due to be held in September 2024) where the direction of future research in this field will be decided.

The survey is open until the end of July 2024 and can be accessed here: https://www.jla.nihr.ac.uk/priority-setting-partnerships/coexisting-dementia-and-hearing-conditions/
