Keith, who was friends with Hilary, says:
“So immensely sad and sorry to hear of the passing of my dear friend Hilary Doxford. Along with Wendy Mitchell we 3 back in 2012-2015 worked hard as a triad to improve the involvement of people with dementia in the Alzheimer’s Society and then with Chris Roberts established the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group. Hilary was both a lovely person and a strong advocate for people with dementia and will be much missed. Love and thoughts to Peter.”
Reflections from the Dementia Community Team and Board:
We are deeply saddened to learn of Hilary’s death. Hilary was known as a great advocate and campaigner for people living with dementia and championed, amongst many causes, involvement in dementia research. Our Communications Lead, Beth Britton MBE, worked with Hilary on the G8 Dementia Summit in 2013 and Beth, along with the whole of the Dementia Community Team and Board, convey our heartfelt condolences to Hilary’s husband Peter and Hilary’s wider family, friends and colleagues. RIP Hilary.
