New website launched to explore better end-of-life dementia care

A new website – Dementia Journeys – has been launched to explore what better end-of-life dementia care looks like based on research.

Central to the website are stories from carers that were originally shared during an exhibition that ran at the Science Gallery, London from April-June 2024. The exhibition was created in response to Empowering Better End of-Life Dementia Care (EMBED-Care), a 6-year research programme jointly led by University College London and the Cicely Saunders Institute at King’s College London. EMBED-Care aims to generate a step-change in how care is provided for people at any age with any type of dementia.

Alongside the carers’ stories, the website also shares resources from the EMBED-Care programme.
