Participants wanted for surveys into dementia in the haulage industry
The Association for Dementia Studies (ADS) at the University of Worcester has launched surveys to explore dementia in the haulage industry.
ADS are hoping to carry out a project exploring issues such as:
- What policies are already in place around dementia
- What options are available to lorry drivers if they receive a diagnosis of dementia
- How drivers are affected if they are in a caring role supporting a person living with dementia.
Participants are being sought who are:
- Current, former or re-deployed lorry drivers with dementia (or who might be worried about it)
- Drivers in a caring role for a person who is living with dementia.
