Reducing risk

September is World Alzheimer’s Month and the campaign theme this year will be “Never too early, never too late,” underscoring the importance of identifying risk factors and reducing risk in order to delay or prevent the onset of dementia.  Organisers Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) said, with the global numbers of people with dementia expected to triple by 2050, there was an urgent need to understand and respond to the risk factors.  Campaign materials and a toolkit are available from ADI, which will also publish the World Alzheimer Report 2023 on 21 September.  www.alzint.org/get-involved/world-alzheimers-month/never-too-early-never-too-late
