SafeConnect fobs available across Scotland for people living with dementia

Following a successful trial in partnership with Police Scotland, Alzheimer Scotland are distributing free SafeConnect fobs for people living with dementia in Scotland.

SafeConnect are yellow fobs that store a person’s emergency contact details so they can be supported to return home safely if they are lost. The fobs use Near Field Communication (NFC) which is built into most smartphones and enables the fob to be scanned if a person needs help.

SafeConnect packs are available to anyone with dementia in Scotland, including people who aren’t formally diagnosed, and contain everything needed to set up a fob. To find out more and order a pack, please visit https://www.alzscot.org/about-us/care/dementia-safeguarding/safeconnect-request/
