Sanctuary Care launch Lifelong Learning Exchange
Sanctuary Care has launched their Lifelong Learning Exchange, a national campaign to bring generations together through a shared loved of learning to provide purpose and engagement across all age groups.
Sanctuary launched the campaign following a national survey they undertook that showed 50% of participants felt that practical skills such as writing letters, sewing, mending clothes or cooking from scratch are most at risk of being lost in modern society.
Meanwhile a survey of 124 Sanctuary Care residents showed that 80% felt they had skills or hobbies that they would like to pass on.
The Lifelong Learning Exchange includes:
- One-to-one mentoring and practical advice
- Skills guides, demonstrations and personal stories
- A celebration of everyday skills with real-world value — from letter writing and storytelling to cooking and sewing
