Survey launched to understand unpaid carers’ workplace experiences

A survey has been launched for unpaid carers who have a health condition that looks at their experiences of applying to, and being in, paid work.

The survey forms part of research being undertaken by Carers Trust, Simplyhealth and Business in the Community to look at carers’ experiences of balancing their health needs with employment, alongside what dedicated support exists nationally in the workplace to support carers’ health and wellbeing.

Unpaid carers can access the survey here: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=ZXcsqy-H-ky00Hb3OKKsPdRI4sQU2l9LqtaU849CY7tUMkI3NzRKQU9KODBWT0FWVzk5M0wySk1GMiQlQCN0PWcu

A further survey with employers will be carried out at a later date, alongside interviews with both unpaid carers and employers. The research findings will be published later this year and will lead recommendations for employers who support unpaid carers.
