Wishing Philly and Rachel well as they leave Innovations in Dementia

Longstanding friends of the UK Dementia Congress and JDC, Philly Hare and Rachel Niblock, have stepped down from their roles with Innovations in Dementia.

We have worked with Philly and Rachel for many years through their time at Innovations in Dementia as they have supported people with dementia to have a pivotal role in our flagship UK Dementia Congress

.

Prior to this in 2011, Philly set up the ‘Dementia without Walls’ programme for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation which was pioneering work that explored new ways of framing dementia.

Before to Rachel’s work with Innovations in Dementia, she did a huge amount for people living with dementia and family carers, including with the National Dementia Action Alliance through the launch of their Carers’ Call to Action.

Philly is retiring, and has shared her career highlights in this blog http://www.innovationsindementia.org.uk/2023/12/blog-from-philly/

Rachel is stepping back to enjoy more family time. You can read more about Rachel’s farewell (plus a note from Philly) in the latest Innovations in Dementia Newsletter (Page 2) https://www.dementiavoices.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/DEEP-Newsletter-Oct-Nov-Dec-2023.pdf

We thank Philly and Rachel for all they have done and wish them well for the future.
