The findings of a research study (published in October 2023) entitled ‘Hard to Reach and Hidden: Improving the Identification of Young Dementia Carers’ has been represented in an animation about the visibility and needs of young dementia carers.
The ‘What do young dementia carers need?’ animation details a number of help and support needs including:
- for society to understand
- clear identified pathways
- support for the whole family
- awareness campaigns
- tailored peer support
