DeNPRU Exeter publish report on living alone with dementia

DeNPRU (Policy Research Unit Dementia and Neurodegeneration) Exeter has published a report entitled ‘Living alone with dementia: a neglected inequality’.

The report details that as many as one in three of all people with dementia live alone. It challenges the assumption that people with dementia will have a carer available, and highlights the lack of NHS services and community provision for people who live alone.

‘Living alone with dementia: a neglected inequality’ also makes recommendations about what needs to change to ensure there are appropriate services and support for people who live alone with dementia.

You can read the report here: https://ore.exeter.ac.uk/repository/bitstream/handle/10871/140650/DeNPRU%20Exeter%20Living%20Alone%20with%20Dementia%20Report%202025.pdf
