Consultation launched on Down Syndrome Act 2022 draft statutory guidance
The UK Government has launched a consultation on the draft statutory guidance issued under the Down Syndrome Act 2022 for England.
People with Down Syndrome are at greater risk of developing dementia, and the draft statutory guidance has multiple mentions (30) for dementia.
Responses are welcomed from a range of people including those with Down syndrome and their families and/or carers, people with other learning disabilities, organisations and people who work in healthcare, social care, education or housing services. Responses can be made by individuals, those representing another person or on behalf of an organisation.
