Age Space campaign urges people to ‘Prepare to Care’
Age Space, who provide advice and resources for families with ageing parents, has launched a campaign entitled ‘Prepare to Care’.
The campaign provides a range of resources, including a checklist and conversation starters, and is aiming to encourage families to begin conversations about future care needs.
Age Space say:
“Acknowledging that our relatives are getting older is easily avoided, but that can leave us unprepared for when a parent starts struggling to live on their own. We want the best for our loved ones and to make sure that they live their later life in the way that they want. Avoiding the conversations can make their later life harder, lonelier and more expensive. Prepare to Care is all about encouraging us all to take the first steps to getting ready for the later stages of our family member’s lives.”
