‘Shared Care’ carer resource launch announced

Together in Dementia Everyday (TIDE) are launching their Shared Care resource for carers on 9 June 2026.

The resource has been co-produced with carers and can be used to help strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes for carers when the person they support with dementia moves into a care home.

TIDE say:

“If the person you support moves into a care home, you’ll likely want to stay involved in their day-to-day care. However, this transition can be tricky and many carers report that they feel excluded or uncertain about their role. Our Shared Care Resource aims to address this by promoting collaboration, communication, and continued involvement between carers and care providers.”

This launch follows the publication of TIDE’s Shared Care report in May 2025 (that we reported on here: https://journalofdementiacare.co.uk/tide-publish-making-shared-care-a-reality) and the launch of the Shared Care Training Resource in December 2025 (that we reported on here: https://journalofdementiacare.co.uk/shared-care-training-resource-launch).
