Report published on the role of technology to support brain health

A report has been published entitled ‘Unlocking Dementia Prevention: The Role of Technology in Supporting Brain Health’.

The report is the result of a collaboration between the Alzheimer’s Society, Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), Toronto Metropolitan University’s National Institute on Ageing and the Toronto Dementia Research Alliance. It draws on insights from 2,090 adults aged 40 and over from the UK and Canada and examines what people know about dementia prevention and the barriers they face when trying to adopt brain-healthy behaviours.

It also examines how technology – like digital tools, wearables and online platforms – could help bridge the “knowledge-to-action gap” between awareness and preventative efforts, suggesting there are further opportunities for a range of technological innovations that could support brain healthy interventions.
