Babs the Brain touring Scotland

Babs the Brain, a giant, walk-through inflatable brain, is touring towns across Scotland to promote better brain health as part of Alzheimer Scotland’s new partnership with Scotmid Cooperative.

Babs the Brain, named in honour of the late Dame Barbara Windsor who died in 2020 of Alzheimer’s disease, began the Big Brain Tour of Scotland on 17 September 2025. It’s hoped this larger-than-life campaign will help to teach both children and adults about brain health and reducing dementia risk.

Henry Simmons, Alzheimer Scotland Chief Executive, says:

“Alzheimer Scotland is delighted to be embarking on this charity partnership with Scotmid. We see this as the start of a shared mission to empower people of all ages to protect their brain health, reduce their risk of dementia, and help make sure that nobody faces dementia alone.”
