Baby born in care home returns to visit residents

Bagshot Gardens Care Home has enjoyed an unexpected arrival – A baby was born in the care home after the parents-to-be pulled into the care home car park having run out of time to get to hospital.

Care home staff helped to deliver baby Louis with guidance from a 999 operator and provided towels and blankets until the ambulance arrived.

Baby Louis, along with his mum and dad, returned to the care home last month for residents to be properly introduced to Louis.

As Louis wrapped his hand around the finger of resident Betty, she said: “I am very much lost for words, but what an amazing experience.”
