Care Quality Commission publish research report into good practice in dementia care
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a research report entitled ‘Good Practice in Care for Those Living with a Dementia: Literature Review’.
The report was created by IFF Research, who worked in partnership with Leeds Beckett University to review examples of good practice that have been published by UK and worldwide universities and organisations in health and social care. Three discussion groups were also held with professionals and people with lived experience to inform the report.
The report highlights examples of good practice including around care planning, meaningful activities, choice and control and cultural heritage. It forms part of CQC’s ongoing work on their dementia strategy.
