New animation encourages people to participate in dementia research

Join Dementia Research has shared a new animation to explain how people can take part in dementia research.

Join Dementia Research is delivered in partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK, the Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland and the National Institute for Health and Care Research. It was launched in 2015.

Imogen Shillito, Director of Public Engagement for the National Institute for Health and Care Research, says:

“I want to say a massive thank you to the 80,000 people who’ve already helped us by signing up and taking part in studies. That could be as simple as a questionnaire to even taking part in a new treatment trial for medicines to help slow the course of dementia. This has made a real difference and we’re really grateful.

We do need more people to get involved in dementia research. This new animation will help spread the word about Join Dementia Research and encourage more people to volunteer.”
