Iceland foundation

A boost for Alzheimer’s Research UK’s (ARUK) fundraising efforts has come with the recruitment of Iceland Foods managing director Richard Walker as an ambassador. Walker, whose own mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2011 and died last year, said it was a “privilege to do this in memory of her”.  Through its charitable foundation Iceland Foods has already raised more than £5 million for ARUK.  As an ambassador Walker will continue to raise funds and awareness for dementia while encouraging others to support the search for life-changing treatments.
