Tributes to the Queen: Residents of Royal Star & Garter care homes in Solihull, Surbiton and High Wycombe came together on video (see picture) and shared their reflections on the late monarch. Armed forces veterans and their partners paid tribute to the Queen, who became the charity’s patron in 1953, for her lifetime of service. “A most wonderful lady, extraordinary. I’ll miss her, she was always there, she was always constant,” said RAF veteran Michael.
