WHO launches the 2nd edition of primary care focused ICOPE handbook

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has launched the ‘Integrated care for older people handbook: Guidance for person-centred assessment and pathways in primary care (ICOPE), 2nd edition’. 
 
ICOPE aims to promote healthy ageing through the integration of health and social care for older adults and to address age-related health issues, prevent functional decline, and improve the overall quality of life for older people.  
 
The 2nd edition focuses on issues including cognition, mobility, vitality, vision, hearing, psychological capacity, social support, carer support, urinary incontinence, lifestyle advice, cardiovascular risk screening, and community-based interventions for capacity loss.
