Forget-Me-Not train runs again

Having been halted by the onset of the COVID pandemic, the Forget-Me-Not train is running again.

The Forget-Me-Not train runs along the Esk Valley Line between Whitby and Middlesbrough for 17-mile journeys that take in the scenery of the North York Moors.

Community group Esk Valley Railway organises the trips to give people living with dementia, their friends, family and support workers the chance to socialise and enjoy a day out with live music, hand massages and the opportunity to bring a picnic to enjoy.

The Forget-Me-Not train returned to operation in March 2025, and further Forget-Me-Not trains are planned for 21 May, 16 July and 17 September 2025.
