National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme partners with care home reviews website
The National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS) has partnered with carehome.co.uk.
The partnership will allow those using carehome.co.uk and searching for specialist dementia care identify NaDCAS-accredited care homes.
To become NaDCAS accredited providers go through a framework that includes 140 evidence-based standards and nine key foundations of care excellence that have been developed in collaboration with leading research universities, sector experts and people with lived experience of dementia.
The partnership between carehome.co.uk and NaDCAS will also see the two organisations raising awareness of what high-quality dementia care looks like, providing practical guidance for families searching for dementia care, and championing the importance of person-centred approaches.
Claire Reading, Director of Partnerships and Operations at NaDCAS, says:
“NaDCAS exists to support care providers in delivering truly outstanding dementia care that improves the lives of people living with dementia every day. By partnering with carehome.co.uk, we can help more families access trusted information about dementia care and highlight the providers who are committed to going beyond minimum standards to deliver exceptional, person-centred support.”
